Elijah Craig is a brand we trust and they go out of their way to make sure we find the right barrel that fits our profile. After going through several rounds of sample we finally found a barrel that covers A-Z profile. This is our 2nd Private Barrel pick from Elijah Craig and we really think we got a special barrel. Brand: Elijah Craig Age: Almost 11 years old. (heavy barrel character) Proof: Sample states 127.1 Final bottle proof 119.1 (go figure) Nose: Butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, hint of orange peel. Smell reminds me of Old Fitz Palate: Caramel, Butterscotch, hint of vanilla, cinnamon with other baking spices. Final Result: Better buy two bottle. :)
